9/4/13

I have been looking into more of the crazier stages I have seen over my concert going years.
Here are a few photos from the Improvisational Electronic Jam band called EOTO.

Now correct me if I am wrong but clearly this stage is geared towards those under the influence of drugs. Personally I have seen this stage in action at the Canopy Club in Urbana and it is really breathtaking.

Here is a video of their stage. If you have time I definitely say look through it. It is something else really. The visuals going on are kind of incredible.

I read all of Weston today. It was a seriously interesting read. At this point I am a bit interested in the creative process. This is probably the real beginning of my PCA. I am trying to be creative but mostly my mind keeps wandering back to the shows I saw at Northcoast.

One thing that keeps coming back to me was the Big Gigantic stage. I am mostly wondering how the engineers come up with their ideas for designs for their stages. Personally I like to think that they actually are visually stimulating. The drug scene is present at this kind of show so I know lots of stuff on the screen is geared towards those getting "trippy". Could this relate to creativity?

#NCMF!!

Why has Northcoast had such an overcrowding problem? When will the promoters realize that it is time to lessen the amount of tickets or to move to a much bigger venue? Overcrowding for me was completely uncomfortable at times

I saw Lotus as well. They played at the Concord Music Hall. It was an impressive venue that was clearly a former night club. It was obvious by the structure and the setup of the music. The stage was an old dance floor for "dancers" or just people having fun. Having been converted into a stage was pretty intimate. I was front row. I was almost overwhelmed by the feelings I was having. Lotus has done so much for me in my life. They are the kind of band I hope never gets old for me. They defined me in highschool and I was able to see them front row. Man it was something. Though it was really loud. I always wonder how much damage I have done to ears over the years. I also have began to wonder why dont venues hand out ear plugs at every single show. It would be extremely healthy for all the concert goers and and would look good on the venues part.

Here are some pictures my friend and I took
