Having met in Morril Hall I really found some topics pretty interesting. Dr. Alleyne took me a few floors below to the cockroach tubs. These tubs are essentially big garbage bins full of cockroaches. It was seriously one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen in my life. But it was pretty interesting listening to her talk about them. They are grown at Illinois and will only be used experimentally. Each bin had at least 200 cockroaches in them. She explained how very easy they are to breed and that it is useful to keep them on hand.
